On 9th August 2022, Dr Oleksandr Shepotylo was invited to participate in The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Roundtable: The Economic Risks of War in Ukraine, chaired by Lorna Simmonds (Head of Europe and Ukraine, FCDO Economics and Evaluation Directorate). Key questions discussed: (1) What is the risk of a significant deterioration in macroeconomic stability in Ukraine over the next 6 months? How might this manifest? What economic policy options are left for the Ukrainian government to reduce this risk? (2) What is the medium-term(6-12 month) outlook for the Ukrainian economy if the country remains in active conflict?
