As part of the CBP seminar series, Dr Fei Qin (University of Bath) will provide a presentation on ‘Entrepreneurial Growth Aspirations During the Pandemic’ (joint work with Tomasz Mickiewicz and Maribel Guerrero)

We posit that both quality of information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and effective, crisis-specific policy response are essential for resilience of entrepreneurial growth aspirations during major external shocks. Enhancing quality of infrastructure is a generic strategy that is relevant to multiple types of crises. It makes ambitious entrepreneurs more resilient to different crises, and less reliant on specific crisis response policies. We provide empirical support for this idea, utilising Global Entrepreneurship Monitor data from the pandemic period in Chile.
