‘Data Speaks’ Seminar Series Launch
The Centre for Business Prosperity is delighted to announce the launch of the “Data Speaks” series as a key activity organised by the Data and Method theme lead Dr Michail Karoglou. The eight sessions in the first year will run between November 2021 to July 2022. The purpose of the series is to share information, exchange ideas and experience, as well as to stimulate collaborative research. Many sessions are a co-production of CBP’s research themes and in all cases joint efforts of colleagues across subject areas. It is an important step to further build our research capacity.
The sessions are organised either by themes of data sources or under specific topic and research questions. In each session, we will invite researchers who have substantial experience of using a specific data source, in many cases published using it. The talks include an introduction of the data, a presentation of the research paper/project using the data, and researcher’s views on its strengths and shortcomings, as well as any tips on challenging issues. The sessions are interactive and have time for discussions.
